Eligibility Criteria

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of the admission. Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English obtaining not less than 45% marks in aggregate of the above four subjects, from the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh or of any other Board recognized as equivalent by the King George Medical University.
Candidates have to be medically fit.

Basis of Selection:

All admission is subject to performance in the entrance exam conducted by KGMU, Lucknow. The decision of KGMU Lucknow for eligibility and enrolment shall be final.

Age limit for Admission

The candidate should complete the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the 1st year of the course.

Scheme of Examinations

This will be based on the norms and rules of the Indian Nursing Council & KGMU Lucknow (UP) as applicable from time to time. This will be notified from time to time.

Notes on Internship (Integrated Practice):

Internship means 8 hours of integrated clinical duties in which 2 weeks of evening and night shifts are included. It will be carried out as 8 hours/day (48 hours/week). Students will be supervised by nursing teachers. Fourth year/final examinations will be held only after completion of the internship.
